French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp finely ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsps powered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp bourbon
  • 4 eggs
  • Bread, sliced about 1/2 cm thick
  • Butter

Instructions

  • Heat cast iron pan over medium-low heat
  • Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and blend with a whisk
  • Add vanilla and eggs and beat to mix as well as you can
  • Heat cast iron pan over medium-low heat
  • Add pat of butter to pan
  • While butter is melting, wash enough bread in egg mixture to fit in to pan
  • Place bread in to pan, cook until golden brown, flip and repeat on other side
  • Serve hot with maple syrup
